At Freedom Care, it’s not just high quality care we provide, we also have a variety of other programmes suitable for families and children with complex needs. Aside from our specialist care homes our residents are also invited to join us at Freedom Forest.

The aim of Freedom Forest is to help individuals explore themselves and the environment through interaction with nature. This environment provides residents with alternative treatment centers for borderline personality disorder, aspergers, ADHD, autism and learning disabilities.

A vast range of activities are available including; shelter building, using tools, cooking, woodland management, fire making, sustainability, games and camping!

All activities are designed to help service users be proactive in personal development but also raises their awareness of the environment around them.

The Forest School aims to develop:

  • Self Awareness
  • Self Regulation
  • Intrinsic motivation
  • Empathy
  • Good social communication skills
  • Independence
  • A positive mental attitude,
  • Self-esteem and confidence
