We feel our company is forward thinking both in terms of service user and employee development. Service users are at the centre of all of our decisions and are actively involved in the process of person centred care practices. We invest heavily into our core staff group and help these individuals develop and progress in their plan of development. Pathways of care and activities are developed in conjunction with service users and activities are sought and chosen by service users that help build self-esteem, self-belief and further development. The company’s aim is to provide service users with a home from home which they feel is theirs. We achieve this by ensuring that there are no more than 2 residents per home. This is also reflected by the quality of furnishings and décor as well as the homes’ annual maintenance plan. We are an honest, friendly and professional care group that has strong spiritual and ethical values which we feel is filtered down throughout the company. We have a comprehensive system in place to enable us to report, record and action any concern and complaint. We also have a quality assurance tool that is regularly reviewed, updated and implemented. We have robust recruitment procedures that ensure all staff members are given appropriate induction and supervision. Service user’s are consulted and involved in the process of running the home and are actively encouraged to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of their environment. We also have regular meetings and QA questionnaires that help us to gain the views and experiences of service user's so that we can use them in a positive way to help our company grow and progress in the best direction.
