Lemmy Robinson

I began working with disadvantaged youths in 1984, helping to organise and train staff for children’s holidays. I moved from Liverpool to Leicester and secured four part-time jobs working in: two youth clubs as youth leader – a primary school as an assistant midday manager and as a play leader for an after school service. I eventually secured full-time work at an EBD school for the next 12 years, eventually becoming manager of one of the units. After redundancy I worked as assistant hostel manager in a residential unit for asylum seekers. However, I have always felt my future is in the caring profession and this passion led me to work for Freedom Care. In taking the job at Freedom Care I am so pleased to find people who genuinely want to help and are so dedicated to the well-being of the service users.
