Joe set Freedom Care up in 2002 after working at various Care Settings and with a wide range of people with various different disabilities and diagnosis’s. Joe had a vision of an environment where Service Users could live in a homely, safe, low arousal and community based home, He also desperately wanted to avoid the ‘bad habits’ he had seen at so many of the places he had worked at previously.

Freedom Care’s ethos was and still is to create a place of work which is relaxed and enjoyable, a friendly and homely atmosphere at all of the locations and to develop a culture of involvement, honesty and openness that is hard to find. Many of the staff members have been with the company from the beginning and this is partly due to the relaxed environment that they all seem to love. Although Joe has now taken on the Director of Care role, he still has full involvement in the day to day running of the company. In his spare time Joe is a keen Martial Artist; he holds a black belt in kick-boxing and is now training towards his Judo Black belt.
